Stratis is a Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform that was designed for financial services. The platform allows anyone to create their own private blockchain on top of the Stratis ecosystem. All of these side chains are highly customizable and can be accessed via APIs or lite clients.

The edge of Stratis is that corporations can use their solution to quickly set up private blockchains in a Stratis sidechain without the need to build a blockchain system from scratch. The native currency is called STRAT and is used to create and fuel the sidechains.

Furthermore, it also offers training and consultancy of how to create and use a blockchain.

98 million STRAT were sold. Founder and current CEO is Chris Trew.

Can Stratis be mined?

No, but since it uses Proof-of-Stake, you can stake your balance to help secure the network and earn additional tokens as compensation.

What differs Stratis from other Cryptocurrencies?

Verdict and Rating

6/10
Stratis has a huge first-mover advantage in the BaaS sector and is making great progress to becoming enterprise ready. Good project, but the high supply is what concerns me from an investors perspective.
