What is Mixin?

Mixin is a mobile-first blockchain platform that features safe communication and interoperability with all major blockchains. TEEs (Trusted Execution Environments) are used for the interchain communication protocol with the goal of providing near-instant transactions and cross-DApp development.

TEEs are secure areas inside of processors, where payment channels can be built into. This enables Mixin to implement simplified private keys for each wallet, consisting of a 6-figure PIN and a phone number. The first DApp of Mixin is an encrypted messaging app based on Signal code.

History

Mixin was started in October 2017, and a Pre-Sale was held from 25. November to 25. December 2017. On the last day of the ICO, Android and iOS Apps were released. Founders are unknown.
